Andrea Abaunza debuted her swimwear collection Amelie on Friday October 19, 2012 at L.A. Fashion Weekend held at Sunset Gower Studios.  Andrea moved to Los Angeles to study fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2000.  The influence for Andrea’s collection came from her Columbian upbringing.  The suits looked amazing coming down the runway.  The color, cut and fit of each suit seemed to be suitable for many body types which is not always the case when it comes to swimwear.  To see the entire collection please visit www.amelieswimwear.com

Dior Adores Raf

April 11th, 2012

The French couture house Christian Dior has named Raf Simons as the new creative director for the label.  Mr. Simons is taking over for John Galliano who was fired a year ago for anti-Semitic remarks.

Belgian fashion designer Raf Simons may not be all that well-known to the average consumer, he's worshipped by fashion industry insiders and considered by many in the business to be the top menswear designer working today.  In 2005 he was named creative director for the Jil Sander label for which he is credited as having saved from going out of business.  Mr. Simmons will focus on the women’s collection while the designer Kris van Assche will continue to head up men’s wear.
