Water on the table never looked so good!  Beverage pitchers come in all shapes and size no matter your design taste.  I like to think of them as art for the table.  Make a statement at your next dinner party or tonight gathered around the table with your family.

Magic Carpet

October 16th, 2012

So often we play it safe with our color choices in area rugs.  Whether you are unsure of how to make a statement with color or you’re stuck in a rut with outdated decorating.   An area rug is an easy way to experiment with color and design for any room.  By changing a rug in a room the entire room can take on a new updated feel.  Remember that a rug is the largest splash of color in any room.  Visualize how you want the room to look when finished.  Are you a minimalist or do you prefer intense color with a bold pattern.   Patterns can be mixed if they are coordinated by color.  Items to also consider when purchasing a rug would be your window treatments, furniture and accessories in the room being updated.

The “It” Bag is Back

Fendi Baguette, the first real "It Bag" is making a reappearance for Spring/Summer 2012.  We all remember the famous scene from "Sex in the City" where Carrie was mugged for her Fendi and Manolos.  It was if the crime of the century had been committed.

While the collection is somewhat limited in its color choices, it is far from boring.  It will be interesting to see if the Baguette retains its popularity with a whole new set of fashionistas embarking on life in the big city.

El Coleccionista Vertical Chest / Jewelry Cabinet from Tresserra

Designer Jaime Tresserra of the Tresserra Collection puts focus on the craftsmanship rather than the bottom line that usually results in constraints and the sacrifice of beauty.  The El Coleccionista tall chest features a flip up mirror, concealed lock, dark and light Walnut construction, gunmetal silver and nickel fittings, and hazelnut Vaquetilla leather containers within some of the various storage and jewelry drawers.  This is a great piece of furniture for both men and women to store their watches, jewelry, neckties, handkerchiefs and eye glasses.
